Family-owned Denver-area movers since 1999
Aurora stretches from the older blocks along Colfax Avenue to brand-new neighborhoods out past E-470, so a move here might mean a condo near Cherry Creek State Park or a new build by the Aurora Reservoir. Small World Movers has been a family-owned moving company in Denver since 1999, and when you need movers in Aurora, we’re right next door.

Moving in Aurora: what to know
Aurora is Colorado’s third-largest city, home to about 400,000 people, and it reaches into three counties: Arapahoe, Adams and Douglas. I-225, I-70 and the E-470 beltway all run through it, along with busy roads like Colfax Avenue and Parker Road. Because the city covers so much ground, a cross-town move, say from north Aurora to a new home near Southshore, can mean a long drive, so give us both addresses when you ask for a quote.
The housing is just as varied. Northwest Aurora has established neighborhoods like Hoffman Heights and Del Mar Parkway, which grew up in the years after World War II. The southeast and the eastern edge of the city are home to golf-course communities and newer master-planned neighborhoods, many with HOAs. HOAs often set rules for moving trucks, street parking and move-in hours, and many condo buildings ask you to reserve an elevator or loading area, so check the rules at both ends of your move.
Aurora is also home to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, built on the former Fitzsimons Army hospital site, and Buckley Space Force Base, the city’s largest employer. If you’re moving closer to work and short on time, our crew can pack your home the day before or on moving day, using boxes and materials we bring.

Aurora moving FAQ
Do you move people between Denver and Aurora?
Yes. We’re a Denver moving company, and Aurora sits just east of the city, well inside our service area. We move people in both directions, and from one part of Aurora to another.
Do you cover the Adams County and Douglas County parts of Aurora?
Yes. Aurora spans Arapahoe, Adams and Douglas counties, and we serve all of it, from Original Aurora and the Anschutz Medical Campus area to Inspiration, Southshore and The Aurora Highlands.
My new neighborhood has an HOA. What should I check?
Find out from your HOA or management company whether they limit where trucks can park or when you can move in, and whether they need your moving date in advance. Newer Aurora communities often have rules like these. Share what you learn when you request your free quote, and we’ll plan the day with those rules in mind.
Can you move us out of a condo building?
Yes. For a condo move, such as in one of the mid-rise buildings at Heather Gardens, reserve the elevator and a spot for the truck with your building ahead of time. We wrap and pad furniture before it goes through hallways and elevators.
Nearby areas we serve
Nearby, we also serve Centennial, Parker, Commerce City and Highlands Ranch, along with Denver itself. See all service areas.
